Sliced Bread

We all know who's the greatest since that dough has risen...

Who buttered YOUR muffin BEFORE you found him ?

For me it was an odd progression. I started with classic rock to metal to new wave and then found P in 1983.

The first band/artist that I really dug was Jamiroquai back in '96 when I was 14. I was in the school big band and began to really get into jazz/funk. I then became hooked on collecting Miles Davis albums for a couple of years there and it was through Miles that I discovered Prince... and the rest is history!!

I was jammin' to Rufus featuring Chaka Khan "Ask Rufus" and the one before with "Dance wit' Me" in 3rd and 4th grade. I'm 37 now, and was into the funk way back when. Teena Marie was (and is) another of my favorites. As well as Rick James (up until the "Cold Blooded" album, then his music lost my interest)
Gradually got sucked into Prince's sound and everything he represented visually, and musically.
