Girls and Boys appreciation thread! This song is awesome... has Pop, Funk and even a tiny sprinkling of rock! the tune just kicks ass! and i love the "French-ness" about it!
Am i right in saying that ALL Prince fans like this song? Why the phuck was it left off "The hits / b-sides"?? it charted at #11 in the UK. Where did it get in USA? | |

I agree G&B should have been on The Hits/ B-sides album...

Hmmm, i am not a huge fan of the album as a whole but Girls & Boys is an underated clasic IMO.The WHOLE Parade album needs some appreciation, a masterpiece. Don't you agree GG? | |

It was the track that hooked me on Prince 
It should've definately been the follow-up single to Kiss. I love Mountains, but as a 2nd single it didn't quite work, should've gone for that 1,2 punch of Kiss, then G&B (then Anotherlover, and then Mountains). Yeah, Prince was mad for just sticking Girls & Boys on the B-Side of Anotherlover.
At least WB Europe had the sense to release it as an A-Side in it's own right. And I totally agree with Metro, Girls & Boys should have been the second single from Parade, rather than Mountains (even though I totally love Mountains, it wasn't the right choice as a second single). | |

and yes i do love it..its catchy..simple and fun people were talking about this track a while back i was suprised to see a fair few people dont like it at all You saw the apple
