just put in "Creative Zen Touch" into www.froogle.com and you'll find the lowest price online. I bought mine in a Best Buy cuz I needed it right away, and it was around $320 for the 40GB model. -j

Can anyone give me any tips if ipod brand is the best option? (I went to Best Buy to buy one and walked out confused with nothing!) Do you have to pay for all the downloads if you already have them on cd? Sorry if this is a stupid question. Thanks a lot.
First tip...don't buy an iPod unless you want to spend a lot of money for a "cool brand". For less money, get a Creative Zen Touch (20 or 40 GB). It's cheaper than the Ipod and the battery life is amazing (24 hours on a charge). Go out and buy a bunch of CD's with the money you'll save. I'd rather be cool than cheap... I don't have everything on an iPod, but I have everything on my PC - the albums, all protege albums, and a lot of related artists (but not produced) albums, and the b-sides, extended versions etc, in all it comes to about 15 and a half gigs. This is just official stuff, not bootlegs, and it's all in a high bit-rate (albums 256, most everything else 192 at least).
So if you're thinking of having everything officially released by Prince and friends, look at 15GB (prob. get that down to 10GB if you encoded at 128 or 160) - Still tons of room on an iPod for everyone else's music [Edited 7/25/05 11:02am]

Have the 40GB iPOD, have 9,000 songs in it so far.... 1,700 are Prince. Cool! “Tuna, you better do something or else we gonna have to put you back in the can!”

I have all Prince's albums and the key associate records like Jesse, The Time, Madhouse, Shelie , Mazarati etc on my pod. It's incredible to have access to all these albums via one I-Pod.Great for jogging.
