A LETTER TO PRINCE ROGERS NELSON Prince,
I have started to listen to a lot of your different music, and in every one of your songs I have found a message. Your talent is unheard of. Jehovah God has really blessed you and the rest of us. I just love the way that your comment to Jehovah is. I am searching for that truth. I am praying that I will get to the point in my life that I will be close to him as I possible can. I have always know the Lord and I have always been missing something is my life. I have come to the knowledge in my life that I am not close to him, as I ought to be. I would love to meet you one day and just talk about the Lord with you. Your view on life connects to the way I feel. Some times I feel like people do not understand me. A lot of folks say that I try to bring Peace to this World so much. I believe my calling is to bring as much Peace that I can. I do not know you except through your songs. I read a lot about you; but you cannot believe half of what you read. I was looking at an interview that you had with Melanie B. And you said that a compliment was better that any fame and I agree with you there. I also like the statement that you made when you said you sang about a union between two people and it was not about sex that she thought. You just seem like a nice person. I find myself being connected to your Spirit. You are such a special person. I just hope one day that I can find my purpose in life like you have. I find myself thinking sometimes that I don not have a lot to offer Jehovah, but he put me here for a reason. I guess because you are famous and I am not. I just go back to the Scriptures and Jehovah said that he was not respecter of persons. I love how a person can sing and express their feelings. I just wish that I had a voice. My father’s family can sing but it did not rub off on me. My dream in life was to meet a singer and go back stage. I know that you are the one that I would love to that with. I know that is silly but that is one of my dreams. You will probably never read this. If you do then I hope that you will know there is someone out here gets what you are trying to relate to us through you music. I hope your life is all that Jehovah wants you to have. All I want in life is for Jehovah and I to have a relationship that no one can break us a part and I want to thank you for your help in my decision. Prince you are the Greatest and I will always be in your corner. It is silly but I feel like we have already met. I am not a crazy fan but I just wanted to share my feelings and this is the only way I know of. Kim

Goodness, how many sites are you going to post that exact same message on!
Just curious...if Prince were to openly renounce his JW affiliation, or at least clearly appear to be no longer following or interested in JW teachings, would you still like him as much? Namely, would you continue to follow him on his "spiritual journey" if it led him elsewhere? "I would say that Prince's top thirty percent is great. Of that thirty percent, I'll bet the public has heard twenty percent of it." - Susan Rogers, "Hunting for Prince's Vault", BBC, 2015

Trying to be respectful, failing miserably, yours faithfully, Hamster Huey An admirer of your music And heehee @; They [ed. them fake fans who buy boots of Prince] adore YOUR music. And knowing that there are recordings out there that they haven’t heard drives them crazy. It turns them into bootleggers. To some it is a sickness; they just have to own everything you ever played. But to most it is just a way to relax after work, your music, your voice has a way to touch a person’s soul. Your music touched them, like it touched me. Here is the moment I confess that I have heard music referred to as bootlegs. I admit knowing they were illegal from the get go. Call me weak, but part of loving an artist is to lay hands on as many recordings of that artist as you can. It is a sport. Maybe an illegal one, but so is driving a 100 mph. It is exciting. Your music is a part of our lives and we love playing it, even when it is illegal. I am curious to find out what you would do when in our position. I realize you are a strong personality, your singular vision of playing music a drive to become the acclaimed musician you are now. But you must also be weak sometimes. What would you do when a person, a friend, told you about this James Brown recording? Let’s say Mother Popcorn is your favorite JB jam EVER. And all you know is a 6 minute Star Time version, but this person tells you he’s got a tape of the original 14 minute version. And he’s got his finger on the PLAY button of his eight track… What would you do? A privileged person, a person that knows JB personally, probably has his phone number somewhere and shares the stage with Mr. Maceo Parker continuously might muse; “Hey wait a minute, that would violate Mr. Brown’s right as an artist!” But we, weak as we are, our hand palms become sweaty and out eyes just start glowing, anticipating that bouncy horn arrangement.

TheFrog said: i like that letter. and agree with it. don't sound pretentious to me. That was just an outtake. It also includes parts like I wish there was a moment you would see eye to eye with the fans on the topic of your music, as you did way back during bible discussions at Paisley Park. Because it would give you a chance to say what you want without the involvement on lawyers. Because maybe you would see people just craving One Mo’ Jam. You are their James Brown. Your music to many is, no religious disrespect intended, a sort of holy grail. They just want to hear you sing. Or play guitar, any instrument; the nose flute if necessary. Okay, the noseflute thingie is fun.

Dear P,
I'll pretend you've released no music since 1997. It's better that way. Yours sincerely. No, really.

Oh yeah, good song. I always forget that one as it's not on an album. How much more I would play Rave if that had replaced Everday Is A Winding Road.
