The outro to LAST DECEMBER... "one one one one" and the vehicle pulling up, door closing.

Keyboard and "Amen" ending to THE SACRIFICE OF VICTOR (prince)

The strings in EAST and when the drum kicks in. (N.E.W.S)

There are too many of this moments to sum up, but right now i am thinking of the following ones:

- The bridge from 'Gold' right before the guitarsolo (the drums 'building up', the counting down of 1-2-3)

- The way If I was your girlfriend suddenly ends

- The drummachine going bezerk near the end of Mia Bocca (the Jill Jones-cut)

- The short drumbreak during the rap-part of Girls And Boys

- The psychedelical bridge on the extended version of thieves in the temple (right after: oooh hurt me....)

- the low voice saying 'we make love with only words' on the track Lovesexy

- Last but not least: the trademark 'sidebeat' Prince has programmed on the Linn-drummachine (to name but a few songs which use this effect: Automatic, Raspberry Beret, If i was your girlfriend, Glam Slam)

The keyboard interlude on the Ballad of Dorothy Parker into the line, "My pants were wet, they came off but she didn't see the movie cuz she hadn't read the book first"...and the way he closes that song.."This is the Baaaallaaaad of Dorothy Parker..."

Another fave, on The Question of U when the background vocals combine on "All of the questions in my life will be answered" then he puts the deeper register on the vocal, "When I decide which road to choose, what is the answer to the question of yooooouuuuu. Ooohhh, ooh,"...I love that!

Not a favorite moment but interesting...has anyone ever listened to "Standing at the Alter" on headphones ('natch)? Just as the first verse begins, hard panned to the right, you can hear Prince say the word "baby", real low and quick - totally off time to the music. Anyone caught that?

Aw, that's just because of our initial discussions over TRC

tease

Rare is the artist whom you can credit with giving you a passion for music as an art form, as a whole.

I give Prince that credit.

I LOVE the mellow music on "Dolphin" just before the song ends. I always wished that had been longer or that another song should've been created with that music.

My all time favorite moment is the tali end of MOUNTAINS , where Eric and Atlanta just break it down like funaky gods, uuuuu too tight.

Another favorite is the closing guitar solo of Why You Wanna Treat Me So Bad , pretty much the hook that got me into being a fan.

Right now 4 me the nstrumental nterlude btween The Rainbow Children n Muse 2 The Pharaoh is absolutely blowing my mind 1nce again.

The emotion n this short nterlude of music xemplifies xactly what is so breathtaking about his musical approach n this album. Hidden, repressed feelings, struggling to break free n express themselves. Miles Davis would have been proud with this piece.

What little moments on albums come 2 mind right now that just make u dig Prince?

music

U hit it dead on the nail! Learned to play that seque in a couple of days but I could never get the distortion correct. But TRC is full of gems like that. Did u get a chance to hear him perform it live during the ONA tour? I could have left the building after that one and it would have been money well spent.

The end of Power Fantastic is absolutely gorgeous. Also the end of Somebody's Somebody does it for me.

There is a sample that is used in the studio version of "Days of Wild" that is insane. It's a very low "wahn wahn, wahn-wahn wahn wahn" right after the first "Hold on to your wit". It soon gets drowned out by a bunch of other samples, but that into is just crazy.

Another good example of that is when listening to _The Park_ where Prince does this INSANE guitar solo (I think the song is called "Funky Stuff") that leads right into the Days of Wild. MAN! THE WHOLE CROWD WAS FEELING THAT SHIT! I can listen to that on repeat for a long time.

Oh...also on _The Park_ was the only good version of "Funky Design" The way he comes into that song with the hook and then screaming "And just! When you thought it was! Safe to go outsiiiiide!"

Still it's nice to know, when our bodies wear out, we can get another

There are so many for me that I cannot even begin to list them. For me it's one thing that makes Prince one-of-a-kind. It is what has kept me hooked on Prince for 20+ years. I'll be listening to a song that I've heard a thousand times and there it is. I've probably noticed it before, but it hits me like the first time all over again.

Some of my favs is the echo on the word "mine" the 2nd time he says it, "Oh girl, when u were mine".

At the very end of "Forever In My Life" just before the song cuts off, it sounds like he's beginning 2 go in2 a jam on the acoustic guitar. U can catch it better with headphones on.

The beginning of "Lisa" after he sings out "OH Yeah" he says "1,2,3,4" in a comical type voice.

Towards the end of "Data Bank" when he says "I didn't call that!" as the band is no longer following his lead.

The backwards guitar part in the 12" version of Alphabet St.

The guitar work between the words "sex, temptation, lust" in the song "Temptation".

And when he says "y'all not gonna be satisfied 'til we get sleazy off up in this muthafucker, GOOD GOD!" during the jam part in "Baby, I'm A Star from Atlanta '85 - cracks me up everytime! lol
