As much as i love prince and his music i have to say that 90% of his raps sucked ass. The Pope is a perfect example. And have any of u heard the raps he wrote for Carmen Electra back in the day? Prince is old-school like James Brown and them so he's better off doing that talk/rap thing he does in Irresistable Bitch and Muse 2 the Pharoah. When he tries to go hip-hop it goes all wrong. I don't fault him for trying but you have to have the right timing and feel for it which he doesn't seem to have. |

In some of songs,no! In some other ones Yes,Depends on effort I guess.
these are the few I like 1.Face Down 2.Acknowledge Me 3.P.Control 4.Days Of Wild Some people hate P. Control,well that was one of the songs that got me hooked on Prince. Not every single rap song is gonna have the best rhymes,be the most meaningful and creative...You can't expect Prince to be perfect! The man's only human! | |

when he raps on a funk song (sexy MF and Gett Off for example), he's not bad. But when he tries to be Hip Hop (Jughead, Pope), then no.
