Yeah I know what you mean. I'm in Queensland which has a nasty reputation as being Redneck Central! (Pauline Hanson's former electorate is right next to mine!). I was living in London when he came out here in '03. By the sounds of it the shows in Melbourne and Sydney did really well but from what I heard he didn't even sell out the Brisbane show... Because we simply don't have the population of USA or European countries and because we're situated so far away, most international artists don't come here for making money, more just for promotional reasons. And seeing that it had been AGES between his first and second visit, I highly doubt we'll see him here any time soon. |
