Take a good listen to the B side "Hello". It probably won't happen.

Take a good listen to DMSR - 'I don't care to win awards' or sundry others. The man has been known to change his mind more than once in a while. 'Hello' was 20 years ago.

True, but he hasn't done any thing like it in the past 20 years either. Actions speak louder than words. He's prefered to do his own thang.

He wasn't up for any awards when he wrote DMSR. Easy to say.

Philadelphia KWY Channel 3 (NBC) announced this morning that Prince is slated to perform at the Philadelphia Live 8 concert. They also gave mention to Stevie Wonder, Will Smith and others.

Every article I've read online today has his name as a performer, so I would hope it's true.

Prince usually keeps his charitable contributions on the down-low.
If prince.org were to be made idiot proof, someone would just invent a better idiot.

London (rpo).

I think they've only got a few of Bob Geldof's cronies booked so far - I'm sure they're talking to a lot more stars and more will fall in line as the weeks go by - a domino effect.

As a side note, what I can't stand about particularly Elton John and all his so called efforts for charity, like hosting fundraisers etc, if he's that concerned why doesn't he just give more of his millions to charity directly? Instead of having dozens of unused houses around the world and squandering his money on inconsequential things like buying thousands of pounds worth of flowers every week and decorating his unused houses, etc. Instead he has 'fundraiser events' which happend to include all his mates which cost thousands to put on before they even make a profit!

It's very hard to take artists seriously who ask us to donate millions to charity while they themselves have enough money to BUY a country.

AKTUELL
Live 8: Veranstalter hoffen auf Michael Jacksonveröffentlicht: 01.07.05 - 11:23

Washington (rpo).

Radio 1 here today said that the rumour is that the US co-organiser Russel Symonds (sp?) is begging Prince and MJ to duet on 'We are the World' together.....

Can't see P going for that (and I really don't think that should be his contribution to this!!) He should do contribute something else though IMVHO
