Housequake on Sign O' The Times.
I am convinced Beyonce's career would not be where it is, if she had dark skin.

The concert was great. The crowd was 75% drunk and beligerent- at best.
I saw so many fights before it even started and then finally the concert started. Prince was great and Mayte was dancing on the huge speaker right over me, but it's hard--IMO--to enjoy something when everyone around you is fucked up.

i would have to throw the Louisville show at the Gardens during 1998 in the ring. the place was packed at a couple thousand strong. everyone had waited 3 hours to get in the joint, and when Prince hit the stage the fucking place ignited. the crowd was groovin and chantin. at one point, as the crowd had an unprompted chant going prince stops and shouts 'oh its going to be like that huh?', kicks his foot over his head, goes down into a spin, and sliiiiides back up. the place went apeshit. hahahhaa i love that guy

no no no! he started to sing too soon in one spot at Syracuse giggle
the Reno event was much better -- he was WAY happy! biggrin
and his long guitar solo was gorgeous! guitar
i just wish NPGMC had let us know about
his impromptu Reno Hilton performance earlier that week shrug
and a chance to see the band sometime during the rehearsal week
would've been cool too... but the fact Prince even came to Reno... woot!

my vote for best live performance: Fillmore 2001 @ 3am (San Francisco)
closely followed by most any Lovesexy show, 1988
