Which album do you think Prince recorded under his happiest and angriest stages in his life?

Happiest: Definatly Emancipation. You can just hear the joy and happiness in his work..between Mayte, the baby, his artistic control, he must have been feeling really stable and secure at that time in his life.

Angriest: I might get alot of disagreements about my choice but when I hear Sign O the times I get an anger undertone...even more than the Black Album..which he seems to think is part of is darkest personality...I just think that fallout with Susannah and UTCM and Wendy and Lisa...it just seemed like his life was filled with alot of ego, distrust, paranoia and I remember Wendy saying he was just a nasty, nasty person back then...I kinda hear it in the music songs like Sign of the times, It, ballad of Dorthy Parker, If I was your girlfriend,Strange Relationship...thease songs kinda sound angry and dark to me.
