If the kid can't make you come

The guitar on this track is Superb. Listen to it with headphones and ignore the vocals.

Am i right in thinking that Prince played most of the instruments on "Ice Cream Castles"
All the world's a funky stage.

The album 'Ice Cream Castles' was mainly a collaboration between Prince, Morris Day and Jesse Johnson (according to The Vault) so the guitar could have been Prince or it could have been Jesse.

I've always felt this album was under-rated and should really be seen as a companion album to Purple Rain since the songs Jungle Love and The Bird are on there, plus many of the lyrics from 'If The Kid Can't Make You Come' appear in the film, as Morris chats up Apollonia.

I think the guitar on that song sounds a lot more like Jesses style, I think its Jesse on guitar on that one

I don't think Lisa Colemen had anything to do with this song. She is credited as the writer of 'The Stick' but apparently the Library of Congress lists only Prince as the writer. Prince occasionally gives people song-writing credit as some sort of favour, though he sometimes also omits people who claim they co-wrote songs, so who knows?

VH1 classics has played Ice Cream Castles twice now that I have seen. Both times my husband says is that Prince playing guitar and he is pointing at Jesse.
