Rip off of T. Rex's 'Get it On'/'Bang a Gong'.
Says 'filler' to me but was a single for some weird reason. Like the guitar effects tho'Better than the worst 90s Prince songs as a whole so a fence-sitting 5.
2. Alphabet St. - 9
Almost perfect, classic Prince song. Everything about this is spot on - oops forgot Cat's rapping - minus one for that!

3. Musicology - 2
Yawn. Prince on autopilot.

Cream is the best of those, but none of them is stellar or anything.

1.Cream:liked it about the first 6 times or so i heard it,then it started to sound grating to my ears.
2.Alphabet St.: like flintstones vitamins,love it more everytime i hear it.
3.Musicology:yawn.think he recorded this one in the middle of a nap.

1. Cream -- don't like the album version much, but the Arsenio performance was killer!!

2. Alphabet St. -- one of my all-time favorites, love the rhythm guitar and the unique feel to the music, especially love the 12" version -- "this is not music, this is a trip" -- sho'nuff!

3. Musicology -- very boring to me, one of those few songs that I only really appreciate when performed live

I love the 7" version of Alphabet st. it's just a perfect pop record ranks right up there with Kiss. Cat's rapping on the album version goes right through me though.

Cream is a Bolanesque stroll, almost devoid of any imagination, I'll not pretend i like it but i do catch myself humming it at times (must be the hook)

Musicology is just so lazy. The sound of Prince paying homage to old school joints is really the sound of him running out of ideas and scraping the bottom of the funk barrel.

Most definately not a fan of musicology.

I like them all. Not all my favorite songs but sometimes I get the urge to play them.

Musicology and Alphabet St. suck cock ,Cream is ok

Cream (7)- cool video, great song, loved it acoustic

Alphabet Street (8)- Love the guitar in this one, its one of my
"happy songs", at first I didnt like the rap but I miss it in the
video (it aint so bad)

Musicology (5/6)- next to What Do you Want me to Do? its my least
favorite from the album. But its great live and it brings back
memories of the concert.

Cream-8,I like it b/c it just had a funky vibe and plus i liked his voice on it and the video
Alphabet Street-9,I liked this one 2 even tho i didnt get what he was talkin about at 1st(lol)and I actually liked Cat's rap BUT I thought the video cud have been way better especially if Cat was in it dancin and rappin'
Musicology-7,It was funky and different-and i liked the video
*I know u didnt ask about the videos 4 the songs,but sometimes it changes how u hear the song(sometimes 4 the better,sometimes 4 the worse )

Cream- 8 This song is great for what it is: a catchy little pop song

Alphabet St.- 9 Vintage Prince classic. What other over-used word can I attach
to it? Oh yeah.... Genius! I even like Cat's "rap".

Musicology- 5 I'd give it a zero if there were negative numbers on the
scale for songs I can't listen to at all.

Alphabet Street - 7. Reminds me of early high school memories.

Musicology - 9. I didn't like this at first, but after I saw him open the Musicology concert with it last year, I liked it.
