Around the World in a Day cassette art

I'm going on memory here so bear with me. In the cassette version for Prince's ATWIAD, there is a picture of a painting. The scene has trees in the distance and are different colors (red, yellow, etc.) and is most likely an autumn setting. The sky is dark and cloudy.

Does anyone know who did this painting? I have the CD but the painting is not in it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks....

I see that Doug Henders did the cover painting (the one with the pool with the ladder in the middle and people standing around)but did he do the painting that I'm talking about as well?

Do you mean the artwork for the original rejected cover?

Twit (sorry to call you twit, but it's your name! razz), this was actually a photo that was painted. I have the big ol' style cardboard sleeve cd, and the painting is in there, and it's big! Here's the credits:

"Innerspread photography: Nancy Bundt
Photo Illustration: Dan Chapman"

Oh, I know what you're talking about too, Anx - I love that alternate cover (though I prefer the release version). Hope the gallery gets back up soon! biggrin

Thanks to all for that information. I seem to remember those two names (Bundt and Chapman) now but I wonder why the painting wasn't included in the CD I have. I suppose it has to do with a particular release of the CD at a particular time.

Anyhoo, if anyone finds a picture of it, please post it. Couldn't find it, or anything for that matter in the gallery. smile

if you go on eBay or even check out froogle.com, i bet you can find an old vinyl version for fairly cheap - it'll have all the artwork, and you'll have the cover in a nice big gatefold sleeve.
