Do U Think Prince Cleaned Up the Vault or left it as is??? I ask this, because Prince once said if u think some of his back in day stuff was bad or raunchy, he has or had stuff that would make the release controversal music seem tame... So I was wondering since his religion he cleaned up bunch his sexually explicit image, do u think he went back and destroyed some his supposedly super wild controversal lyrics in the Vault or just leave it????

First of all he hasnt destroyed them. He built a 2nd vault...

He probably , if he were to use an old track, would clean it up at the stage when he would use it.

It was certainly said by 2000 that Prince did not store all of his recordings at Paisley Park.

I have to agree with those who say that he's probably cleaned house, I mean completely destroyed that material.

I mean really. Many of those songs have to be down and dirty. Stuff that was too raunchy to even release! Think about what songs he was writing when he came up with "Head."

We'll never hear that stuff. Hopefully Mani can bring him to his senses, if the masters still exist.

But Prince is so busy writting new material, that I think he'll never find time to do something like that.

The vault will probably end up being like the material released for Nirvana after Kurt Cobains Death.--Only it will be on a hundred+ albums over a span of many years.

I think, the whole reason he has such a vault of music is because he records practically everything, just in case there's something he can use later. That type of person would not just suddenly decide to destroy everything!

Prince does not deny his 'raunchy' past, he just doesnt' swear on new recordings. He wouldn't delete a whole tape just because he swore on it in the past - he'd just redub the lyrics if he wanted to use the track in a new release.

He did edit the occasional curse word on various NPGMC releases, but also he has left the swearing on Crystal Ball which is currently available for downloading. The theory that he would destroy all his 'raunchy' recordings would demand that he clean up this record, but clearly he has not done that.
