Allegiance question... Was "Allegiance" written for someone else? He does a nice job with this song.
I never was a big fan of Diamonds & Pearls and looking at some of the unreleased songs from around '91, I wonder why he chose to release stuff like "Jughead" and "Walk Don't Walk" when he had recorded... Allegiance Open Book Play I Hear Your Voice Hold Me Get Blue Player The P Don't Say U Love Me and the classic, Work That Fat ...plus many other great tunes. But I guess Prince does what he wants. So, who ended recording "Allegiance?"

I do believe that Howard Hewett recorded this song on one of his later albums, I think it's actually the title of the album. I've never actually heard it before, how does it sound? Jeux Sans Frontiers

It's a simple ballad, similiar to "Hold Me" or "Open Book." Or maybe a really simple "Adore."
