Was Pepe Willie in Purple Rain?

I was just looking at Pepe's site and it indicated that he was in Purple
Rain. I then checked the credits on the movie and didn't see him listed.
Does anyone know if Pepe Willie was in the movie?

Here's the Pepe link...
http://www.pepemusic.com/...page_4.htm

Oh, well since on Pepe, anyone think he deserves more credit for helping
Prince get going in the business?

I used to have that video. I haven't seen it since maybe '95 so I forget
most of what was in it, but it was a bunch of people who knew Prince sharing
stories.

Yeah it was harmless enough. But it was a cash in of course. But yeah it was mildly entertaining. No one bad mouthed him though if I can remember? His cousin (drummer) sounded a lil' cheesed of perhaps.

yeah, the drummer-cousin guy seemed kinda brittle. of course - and i hate to say it - dude had those jacked-up teeth, i can see why prince might not have wanted to have him posing on any album jackets. boxed

It's possible he could've been an extra in the audience or something like that and just not have been listed. I coulda sworn I saw Greg Brooks and Wally Saford in the audience during IWD4U/BIAS, can't miss that furry hat. I kinda remember hearing Kirk J. and Tony M. saying on a documentary from the symbol album period that they knew Prince back in the PR days which made me wonder if the guys dancing up on the balcony in Purple Rain were them.

used to play pick up ball with chazz at stevens park, he's good people. he has some hilarious childhood pix of prince. i didnt know him to be bitter though, he always seemed to brag about cars and shit that prince would buy him. he was the first drummer and he felt warner brothers had a lot to do with wanting princes band to have whites to give off that sly and the family stone vibe.

I love the docu, me and my best friend laughed our asses off, mainly about Chazz, he was a little more bitter than you guys remember and with good reasons. Prince was a shrewd businessman who the ends always justified the means. Sometimes, when people cannot keep up with your growth you should give them the boot, but to do it for reasons of image or just empty power mongering is just one of prince's and alot of people's worst quality.
Anyway, Prince once borrowed a drum kit from Chazz early in his career 77 or 78 i think, chazz asked for it back and Prince said he didn't have to do anything because he was a star. Idiotic, the kinds of things that make people say some of the tragic things that have happened to prince is providentially manifested.

Pepe married Prince's cousin and started a group in Mpl called 94 East
and invited Prince to play in on some recording sessions. He stayed around
with Prince and helped him get things rolling until Prince gave him the
boot, like he does everyone eventually.

Nevermind that another person said P brought his cousin a car. I think that would make up for the drum kit.

Funny I remember Chazz saying he could not work with the band in High School because he played Football and Morris was a better drummer.

I don't think P is anymore of an Uncle Tom then anyone else in the entertainment industry. If you only do black music you are only going to go so far particuly back in the 70's.

In addtion, it is obvious that P modeled his bank after Sly and the Family Stone.

I wonder if you think rappers are Uncle Toms.
