Well, I think "met" is over estimating the experience but here goes.....

1st time was at a club after one of the Nude gigs in London. There was me and a bunch of other peeps getting down to Flashlight by Parliament on the dance floor. I took a step to the left and heard some high heels clatter on the wooden floor. So there I was, turning around to apologise to the "girl" I thought I had nearly knocked over and there was P looking up at me (I'm 6' 2"!!) with one of those "WTF! Get outta my way!!!!" faces..... Too funny!

The 2nd was during a promo trip to London. The whole band including "Tora Tora" was doing a signing at Virgin Megastore in Oxford Street..... still have the Get Wild EP signed by the band, and Tora Tora aka Prince. He didn't say a word that day though.

I'm sure you being 6'2 made him wanna be even nastier! razz

I met Prince briefly during the Act I tour here in DC. The third date was a benefit concert in conjunction with BET at the newly renovated Warner Theater. My friend Chris and I had heard that certain people were going to be able to meet and hang with the band before the show. Not being on that short list, we hoped to successfully sneak in. We stood outside Warner’s main entrance trying to get in and despite our best attempts at deception were repeatedly rebuffed. Then inexplicably, someone connected with BET came through and made a delivery or something. On his way out he came over to me and asked if I wanted in. (Duh, Yeah!) He gave me an official BET badge for the event that he was wearing. I kicked him some money, and with my newly acquired credentials, gained entry for the both of us. We went downstairs, met a few band members, and in general celebrated our luck. The show was absolutely killer with my personal highlight being a live “She’s Always in My Hair”. I should have known that it was going to be a different kinda night when at intermission I ran smack into the venerable Rev. Jesse Jackson. When I asked him how he was enjoying the show he said, “It’s great. Prince is the Man.” My friends didn’t believe me until they saw him about two seats down from then BET host Donnie Simpson and Carmen Electra who were seated together. Before the concert was through, we found out that the afterparty was going to be at this club on M street called the Dome. Five of my friends and I hurry over after the show, and apparently arrived before anyone connected to Prince’s camp. I had continued to wear the badge more as a souvenir from the night than anything else, but to my surprise it also served to wisk us into the club and right into the cordoned off section of the club prepared for Prince and his entourage. No cover charge, Free drinks, food, the whole nine. About an hour before P’s arrival, the manager of the club comes up to ME and asks whether there are any instructions that he wasn’t aware of that should be carried out in anticipation of P’s arrival. (This was an invitation only event that I not only crashed but was now running thangs! ME!) I gave him some spiel about security being at the ready and to make sure that everyone allowed in our section had a proper invitation. From leaving the house that afternoon, I had gone from having little chance of doing anything more than seeing the concert that I had bought a ticket for, to preparing the way for P’s arrival to his and BET’s official afterparty. My friends were stupefied because this was an incredible turn of events and I was frontin to the MAX. Prince arrived, we greeted him with applause and as he was coming through, I said to him, “That was an awesome show brother”. He shook my extended hand and said thank you, then went over to a private table where he sat until he left. One thing we all learned that night is that Prince does not like look-alikes because our friend Gerome who naturally resembles P and was made up in his Paisley best was removed from the party at P’s request. I danced with Mayte, and Carmen (who had a personal security person shadowing her every move) but I spent most of my time chillin with Tony M and Sonny. It was a really cool night. Will never forget it. cool lol

I was actually invited to one of his private afterparties at Butter last year when he was in NYC for the Musicology tour. As luck would have it, I was at a party right next door and was outside with my friend (oddly enough, we had just gone to the concert that Wednesday), when one of P's people approached us and asked us to come over (maybe we had that certain...je ne sais quois). Well we go next door and they seat us and start taking our orders for drinks when I look over just a mere two tables away and P is sitting there talking to Lenny Kravitz (heart palpitations increase). Morris was there too. Well, my friend and I hung out until about 5 in the morning, watched a clip of that night's concert (it was in Jersey, I think), danced, had a great time. And right before we left, we approached Prince directly to thank him for a good night. He's so small (I'm 5'9" so you get my drift) and he's absolutely gorgeous in person...what always got me about him though is how he's so small and effeminate, but has this super sexy deep voice. Anyway, yeah so I spoke to him and thanked him for the night. He grabbed my hand and it took everything in my being to not faint or make an extreme ass out of myself. The exchange was brief; I won't even hype it up. But yes, folks, I not only got close to him...I touched him (or he touched me!!!)

On another note, we got the chance to hang out with Mo'iss and The Time the next day in NYC so I want to shout them out cuz they are some of the nicest, coolest, funniest people I've met.
I'm gonna make you love me...

Hee hee before I checked on your profile I could tell just from Prince's reaction to you that you are a hot female! And I was right! Prince sure responds kindly to women! I'm so glad I'm a female fan! biggrin

Prince in Lenny Kravitz at the same table talking? horny
OMG....if I saw that I would have a spontaneous orgasm right there.....I would have to excuse myself to the ladies room, remove my panties, squeeze the juices out of them and hang them up to dry. Lenny looks so sexy with his hiar all permed and braided back, and with his pretty ass skin and that fine ass body. I don't care, Prince and Lenny Kravitz make a sexy ass gay couple. I think Prince should kick Larry to the curb!

I met Prince at a record store signing at the beginning of his "slave" phase.
I wrote him a message on the picture I wanted him to sign. He actually turned the book around and read it I thought that was so cool (I have his fingerprint). As he was reading it, I couldn't really look at his face because it was so unreal...being that close. Then I was was kind of disappointed that he had SOOOOO MUCH MAKEUP on his face and these inpenaterable sunglasses on. I kept focusing on his hands then his hips and between his legs (it was there so I looked). I was a womans size 2-4 and his hips were smaller than mine!!!!! His hands fascinated me...musicians hands, but nice long fingers. After he finished, he signed "the symbol" signature and he said thank you in a very low voice. I'm glad I had that little exachange with him....I just wish I could have seen his eyes.

I wrote how much I admired him through the years and that I hope that he gets the freedom he's searching for. There was more than that, but that's basically the jist of it. He was pretty gracious.

Your friend got kicked out just cause he resembles The Kid? Man, that's some cold shit.

In P's defense, My friend Gerome was one of those types that went waaaay out of reasonable bounds to make himself look as much like the man as possible. (You know, hair, make-up, special made look-alike clothing and all that.) We all felt bad about what happened to bro, but by the same token we could see how P would be ill at ease around someone that many people would look at and say that he's an obsessed individual who wanted to BE Prince.

I'll tell you what was really cold. One of those other friends was dude's WIFE, and when he was kicked out (with much protest), she refused to accompany him outside but rather stayed and partied until closing because being in semi-close proximity to the real Rude Boy was more important to her than the mental well being of her own husband who absolutely worshipped the man who had just kicked him out of the club! confused Now you know that's wrong. boo

To get a better view, I climbed on top one of the picnic tables that were littered thru-out the beach. As soon as I stood up, outta nowhere this frisbee comes crashing into my eye. MY Eye! Instantly, I crumpled down to my knees, franticly rubbing my ailing orb hoping this action would help to reduce any chances of impact-induced blindness.Suddenly I felt my state of panic begin to lighten as a fatherly & soothing voice befeld mine own ears,"Are you alright?" I noticed a Brit slant to the syntax of his saying(s). My curiosity piqued, I Cyclopitantly looked up to peer upon the visage attached to this olde english flavored query of concern. It was Benny Hill(yeah yeah..this was B4 he passed). Man,in my opinion, he is to comedy what Prince is to music;a genius(Prince=When Doves Cry;Benny Hill=Bicycle In Naked Statue's Butt-crack). Anyways....that's the only famous person story I got.
