[Edited 4/26/05 12:08pm] This is kind of true. The Nikka Costa one is one of the few where he shares vocals properly. Also Arms of Orion, which I don't really like. Not really a duet, but I like the blend of voices on Ice Cream Castles. Take Me With U would probably be my choice despite Apples' weak singing. With all Prince's music there should be more to choose from, damn egomaniac! Check this song out at:

background? Prince dominates that song, and you hear him more than Sheila. It's more like a Prince song with Sheila E. on background vocals.

I'd agree in general (but Apples barely qualifies as a backing vocalist never mind co-lead on TMWU), but it does seem that two Sheena duets are the only songs where he does share the lead (although I don't like either song much). The one other exception that comes to mind is U Make My Sunshine with Angie Stone.

Naw, bro...not even...he wails a bit and then doubles up on her lines...faintly in the background...that's about it. Sheila dominates that cut. Desire, it covers our faces

To me U Got the Look never really sounded like a duet for some reason. Sheena sounds like a backup singer. She never really gets a verse to herself, even though she's prominent in the song.
