Did Prince and Lenny K. have a parting of ways?

Can someone fill me in on what happened. I remember Lenny's song "when will will see you again" or something, sounded just like Prince's "Wherever U Go..." Did Prince ever call Lenny out on that or what?

As far as I know they are very good friends. Prince has mentiouned him and said they shoot pool together. Lenny has always been a Prince fan, so maybe he is an influence to his music as well.

Prince has drawn attention to the similarity between the two songs by jokingly playing a few bars from Kravitz's composition after his own on one occasion.

Lenny Kaye is a guitarist, writer and record producer. He is a founding member of Patti Smith's band, and has worked with such varied artists as Suzanne Vega, Allen Ginsberg, Waylon Jennings, Soul Asylum, Kristin Hersh, Eugene Chadbourne, and Jim Carroll. His anthology of sixties' garage bands, Nuggets, is a landmark of the genre.

And since we are talking about Again versus Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do, I'm happy to express my opinion. Again is not like WUGWUD, simply, because it's million times better. It's one of Lenny's best timeless songs and WUGWUD is one of the most boring, half-hearted attempts on Rave. Luckly also easily forgettable. And lucily Rave has some good songs to redeem itself.

Not to mention that "Wherever U Go, Whatever U Do" is just "Every Breath You Take" played sideways. smile

Yeah, which is "Slip Slidin'Away" and "Stand By Me" played upside down.
