The album itself didnt change my life but when I listen to it, I do feel a sense of peace, and calmness. I love the spiritual vibe of it; it just makes me feel good. Did you order a pizza ma'am? Prince- UTCM

Lovesexy only strengthened my faith in this short brother from Minneapolis. It made me love him more for he has created another great album of peace, love, sex, and faith. NEW WAVE FOREVER: SLAVE TO THE WAVE FROM THE CRADLE TO THE GRAVE.

Yeah, I had a couple. Can't find them offhand. One was a pink and blue one of Ian Curtis. The other was a TRON logo.

And when I saw him in concert at the L.A. Sports Arena...when he did "Anna Stesia" and the platform rose into the rafters....TIIIIIGHT! The program was tight as well. And how people can mention all the songs BUT THE STAND OUT TRACK OF "When 2 R In Love" is beyond me. If you didn't get pussy after the needle hit this track...then you weren't gettin' in the first damn place. Desire, it covers our faces

I can imagine if U buy/or bought the album
years after it's release U don't like it as much as PR,SOTT or D&P. It's not a collection of hits or a record U just play loud in your car. It was an experience at the time and when the tour was broadcasted on tv...well,it's still my fav concert 2 watch and listen 2. And Lovesexy(the song) is still one of his best funksongs. 1988, when Lovesexy was released, was the only time I ever saw Prince. For me,
this album/tour was crucial, because it ushered in and fortified Prince's NPG concept. Remember the line: "Welcome to the New Power Generation..." Prince took this to another level then. Or perception of the NPG (not merely the bizz aspect of it) is greatly linked to the Lovesexy album.

I personally think it was an extension to Sign O The Times, because it's still funky, but a little more spritual. Check me out and add me on:

AMEN. What did Lovesexy do for me....Well, let's see....I've already told this story on here before, but let's go again.... Summer 2003... I was already a Prince fan, but not as big a one as i am now. I was flicking through music channels one day, and caught the last like 30 seconds of the video, and saw P and Cat dancing to these charged up violins. I had NO idea what this song was. So i waited for the credits, and saw the titles "Glam Slam" and the album title "Lovesexy" Now, i've seen Lovesexy in my searches for Prince music and such, but from the album cover i thought it was some weird freaky shit i ought not get into...So anyway..i tried to download Glam Slam and ended up downloading the WHOLE Lovesexy album...and i fucking fell in love with Prince i swear. It just had this perfect, peaceful, and positive flow. And each song was different, but they all fit together and were sequenced perfectly. I stayed up that night and listened to it 10 times straight. I guess needlees to say, Glam Slam is THE greatest Prince song of ALL time. Also, at the time was dealing with coming out and all that and i don't know how, but the lyrics and the flow and message on the album just helped me a LOT. So it remains my all time favorite Prince album. And there's a whole bunch of other stuff but my wrists are tired. GlamSlamKid...The resident clown on Prince.orgy

Lovesexy is the Prince gospel album. He starts up, goes down and ends back up again just like anyone else struggling and searching for God. This album changed my life and I know folks think that is corny, but when you're different, an outcast and someone comes along to tell you that you are not alone and someone loves you how you are, you gotta say 'thank you'. I'm blown away to this day by this album.
