I know weve all seen the movie a million times, but theres nothing like seeing at the theaters back in that summer of 84, waiting in line to see it every weekend over and over.

I also remember watching the scene in which Prince's mom is beating by her husband and then looking at my parents in the front seat of our car and thinking how weird it was. My father beat my mom as well and I had never seen that "type" of violence depicted on film before. it was very surreal
