IN REGARDS TO THE "IF PRINCE DIES" THREAD...IDEA!: Ok, I don't know how this will work out, or even if it's legal, in a sense (or kinda morbid   ), but let's write the lyrics to a song written for Prince's passing...maybe performed/sung by a few artists like: Van Hunt, Bilal, Angie Stone, Nikka Costa, and D'Angelo.
Now, the vibe of the song is, say..."Old Friends 4 Sale"-ish...That speed/tempo with that same melancholy, heartfelt feeling. So, I'm gonna write the first verse...then those that have writing skills or THINK they have writing skills follow...the tough part...The chorus; so if anyone wants to get to that part and rip it up, please do so. Ok, title: "Y'd U Have 2 Go?" It's a cold and lonely mornin'/The Twin Cities snow covers my tears Desire, it covers our faces

Let's be optimistic and say Prince has about another 40 years before the grim reaper comes knockin on his door (assuming he doesn't get run over by a Vespa or anything). Who's gonna give a flip about any of those artists you've suggested? Granted, D'Angelo may finally be releasing his next album around that time... | |
