I never listen to the opinions of music critics. They should have been in the clubs back in the day when "Erotic City" first came out. The DJs were mixing it with Laid Back's "White Horse" and the crowd was absolutely loving it.

To be fair, some of them probably were there as it is a B-side that has often been referred to, especially its popularity in the clubs back then.

Is the B-Sides disc on the Hits a good collection of the best versions of those songs? Or does one have to track down the singles to hear them at their full glory?

It's a good collection and it includes most of them but it doesn't include the best versions. That album only includes the 45 versions. You need to get the 12 Inches to get the full length versions.

In my opinion, Prince could release 2 or 3 cd's records filled with b-sides, and these albums would be in top-20 year polls...

One remark to go with that: I am talking about the years 1982 - 1989 wink

Which always puzzled me as to why that was left off the Killer Bs?

But the extended version of "She's Always In My Hair" IS THEE ABSOLUTE SHIT!

And I remember the 1st 3 beats I ever learned to play on drums: "Irresistable Bitch"..."Lady Cab Driver"...(The other was "Owner of a Lonely Heart" by Yes)

His other bomb ass Killer Bs: "15 Days + 2 more" (LOL!), "Girl" (Especially the 12 inch), "How Come You Don't Call Me Anymore," "Shockadelica," "I Love U In Me," "Power Fantastic."
