n.e.w.s. I played this c.d. for a friend of mine who just happens to love jazz & not really like Prince at all. Guess what? He loved it. It just goes to show you one man's wine is another man's poison. Have any other members ever turned someone on who thought they didn't like Prince's music? I had a muso friend who was really into jazz and soul, so I gave him a copy of The Rainbow Children and he absolutely raved about it! He said he could hear so many influences in it, Jimi Hendrix's Electric Ladyland, lots of James Brown and Stevie Wonder, etc. | |

i didnt like n.e.w.s but a friend of mine who i kind of converted in2 a fan absolutly loves it and TRC (which i love as well).. hes also a musician so guess he appreciated the real music!

N.E.W.S. was another hit for Prince IMHO. I'm also a jazz lover so that's probably why. I also think TRC is excellent as well. I feel like I have most of the best songs already. The rest of the album isnt too well recieved around here (Jughead, Daddypop, etc.) But Im dying to hear Thunder so I'll probaly get it soon anyhow  If you will, so will I | |
