U will grow to love emanci. I know i did-- and it only took me about 6 months. Not because it was bad, but because thats a lotta material to break through, especially when i bought it w/other p albums. I just never had the time. But that was yet another gem, i assure you. Love it! This was my second album ever that I owned by P. Being a new fan, and only being familiar with the Purple Rain material, Come was a shock to say the least.
A lot of people write it off as contractual filler, but I don't think that's giving the album enough credit. Obligation or not, Come rocks all. "A Watcher scoffs at gravity!"

It is always fighting its way back to the top of my favourite prince albums, It's a true masterpiece. I have many brillant Dj friends who say this album is the one and only.

Fantasic album. The producing work on it is one of his best for me, the whole album quite literally makes you feel like you are in the 'Space', the music floats in from every angle its not just your left or your right speaker, its all around you. Its a shame the album ends with 'Orgasm' simply because its not a song, but with some brillant experimental work from Prince such as 'Loose!' and 'Solo', it truly stands out. Dark, funky, sexy and coming from pour. If god one day struck me blind,
Your beauty i'd still see.

FunkMistress said: Bow down, bitches. The title track alone is worth the price of admission. It's hot sexy funk on a platter. It's like three grooves in one. This song is a stunning example of Prince the genius producer. The way the many tracks are layered, peeled off like sweaty clothing, and perfectly tossed back on.... The music itself builds to a panty-soaking climax. When he sings, "Ohhhh, ohhhhh, ohhhhh, ohhhhh, yeah! Babe, did you come, come, come come? I wanna know..." y'all bitches know you're like "Hell yeah, Prince baby, you know I did!" Seriously, listen to the whole song, giving it your full sensory attention, and you'll notice that when he gets to this line you literally feel a postorgasmic afterglow. No more, no more, will you cry, cry, cry, cry... OMG no one has put the discription of this entire album better than u just did. that is exactly how i felt when i first heard it. i was like "I CAN'T BREATHE!" "music is my life partner. the only one who will never EVER leave me"--Tommy Lee

When it come to this albun, it is my least favorite. When I first brought it, I was like,WTF? The only track that I really dig is "Space". I have always loved the lyrics to this song. Aside from this, the cd is just, blah. "Love is like peeing in your pants, everyone sees it but only you feel its warmth"

The title track really get's me going.....the first things you hear...."Come, You should do that baby!" WOW! That song is stuck in my head every day and when it does I have a smile on my face... --------------------------------------------------

Well I like the album. My favorite songs are Come, Loose!, Space, Letitgo...but I really try not to listen to it that often. It is just a very dark album and sometimes it brings me down...but I do put it on from time to time...

My history with this album is the weirdest of my Prince purchases.
I initially bought the album two years ago, when I was just beginning to get into Prince. After hearing Around the World in a Day, Purple Rain, and D&P, I was taken aback by the sound of Come and hated it. I sold it after about a month. Being only about 4 albums away from completing my collection, I realized that I needed to rebuy Come... and after sitting down and giving it a few spins, it finally dawned on me - It's easily up there with The Gold Experience as the finest Prince album of the decade. It obviously didn't strike me right away, but man... Come rules. I love every track except for "Orgasm," which doesn't really count as a song anyway.
