Prince gave so much in his first decade, perhaps more than any other artist of his generation. To disect, sperate and caterogrise Prince's music by picking away at its elements, in inessence, goes against all what his work initially stood for.

All albums have some funky tunes, but The Black Album and New Power Soul are almost ONLY funky music, though maybe not Prince´s finest.

But when it comes to real funky music you cant go wrong with:
- 1999
- Camille (all camille tracks put on one cd, this cd NEEDS to be released)
- The Black Album
- Batman
