Help make a Prince mixtape for non-believer

I've got a sceptic friend who thinks Prince ain't nothing. I want to prove her wrong. What songs will blow her away?! Animal Kingdom and Freaks On This Side probably won't cut it. Here's what I got so far:

I Wanna Be Your Lover
When U Were Mine
DMSR
When Doves Cry
Raspberry Beret
Anotherloverholenyohead
Housequake
If I was Your Girlfriend
The Question of U
Thieves in the Temple
Batdance
Diamonds and Pearls
Gett Off
Dark
Eye Hate U
I Like it There
White Mansion
Joint 2 Joint

...and then I sort of lose interest myself
Let the rain come down

MidnightFunk

i think that list might b a little 2 mainstream....

i have found that when i convert folks it's best 2 make a cd of the stuff U like MOST...

maybe make a cd of the hits...

and

then make a cd where u take a track off each album that U like and then tell ur friend that THIS is why u like Prince...

Novabreaker

"Batdance"?!?

That's like giving out "The Origin Of Species" to an atheist in order to try to convince them to believe in God.

Dugen

Off the top of my head I would include...
Adore
Insatiable
Head
Bob George
Movie Star
I Feel 4 U
Little Red Corvette
17 Days
She's Always In My Hair
Let's Go Crazy
Strange Relationship

or u could do what MidnightFunk said, a CD of his most popular and a CD of ur favs but throw in some his better unreleased material since Prince is well known 4 his bootlegs 2.

Just give 'em "Purple Rain" (full album) but mix "little Red Corvette", "Raspberry Beret", "1999", and "Kiss" in somewhere (they'll think they're all from the same album). Then don't expect 'em to venture any further seeing that Toby Keith and Usher will probably take up too much of their new music time.

Oops....Sorry about this post. I mis-interpreted the topic. Therefore this post is irrelevant

The only thing you need is the Sign of The Times album!

Ive shut a few people up by sending them that and they have gone on to buy other albums.

I know its a little old but its a really good style which is still being coppied in todays music so its not too alien to them like some of princes other albums.

From there they couldnt go wrong with musicology and then just fill in the blanks if they want more of his older of newer material smile

It will depend on the likes of your friend.
What music does he/she like? Give us a clue
