I was listening to Holy River (live on Rosie O Donnell version) b/c I was just replying to the other post about Prince's most real song ..~ Purple Rain as you know it is just compiled from the recording that was made that night. The intro is longer. It has an additional verse (you ain't missing much, really, not lyrical or performance-wise) That guitarsolo you know so well; edited... The violin coda at the end was recorded and added later on. It's more messy and to me, more beautiful... | |
