PRINCE- the B-sides Yesterday i bought the 3CD Box "PRINCE-the hits/the b-sides". I enjoyed disc 3, but sadly beneath all the songs are edited. Does anybody know if there is a CD with the full b-side tracks?

Most of those b-sides were originally released in two versions - the full-length version, as found on the 12" and the normal length version as found on the 7". The 7" versions are usually well edited from the longer version without just being fades. If I'm correct, the mix of some 7" versions is different from those of the 12" versions.
So.. the 7" versions are pretty well self-contained songs. They're largely what appears on the 'B Sides'. I'm not 100% sure whether the songs appearing on the 'B Sides' are all the 7" versions rather than special edits made just for the CD (as a few of the tracks on the first two Hits CDs are). So you're not getting ripped off with special fades made especially for the B Sides disc. To the best of my knowledge, the songs that have longer versions are: Hello Escape Feel U Up (the 'short stroke' on the b-sides is just a fade, as the original short version was) Girl Erotic City Shockadelica Scarlet Pussy La La La, He He Hee She's Always In My Hair Another Lonely Christmas The songs that don't have longer versions: 200 Balloons Gotta Stop (Messin' About) Horny Toad I Love U In Me Irresistable Bitch 17 Days How Come U Don't Call Me Anymore God (there's a longer, completely different instrumental version though) Power Fantastic (never released before) 4 The Tears In Your Eyes (the original release is a different recording) If you want the longer versions of those 10 tracks then happy hunting! Record-collecting should be a joy of any Prince fan Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.

No extra lyrics, no real additional music, just looped. I downloaded it once, pretty amateurish. Got bored at the intro going on and on and on...

Oh, and I did write 'to the best of my knowledge' so no need to be so obnoxious. I'm not Per Nilsen. A good place to start your 12" collection is in The Plastic Factory, Birmingham. I picked up both the Sexy Dancer 12" and the Pope 12" there, OMGoodness!! [Edited 3/25/05 8:57am] Life it ain't real funky unless you got that orgPop.
