Yesterday, as I was looking through NPGMC download section I wondered if the Crystal Ball download was "edited" or had the nasty words removed from it. It would be a shame if it was an edited album.

It was not edited. The moderators confirmed all the cuss words are still present in the downloadable version. I guess it was too much for them to edit the whole album (too much work???), but it seems realy strange Prince is still selling some releases with curse words in them, although he is far from naughtiness right now:-)

They are basically charging $30-$35 to download Kamasutra being as it is real easy to find the 4 disc set on Ebay or elswhere for under $20. It was only $29 when it was released.

Been trying to recall how many songs on Crystal Ball have curse words. I can only think of Days of Wild and 'ain't that a bitch' on Interactive, P Control and Get Loose! Not many to edit, really, if Prince wanted to.

There's plenty of suggestive songs - Poom Poom, 18 & Over, that Continental remix, Hide the Bone, Ripopgodazippa - but they don't actually have swearing in them.

Also, doesn't the live Return of the Bumpsquad track have swearing in it?

This is certainly encouraging that he hasn't butchered original recordings and perhaps gives a little more faith in any possible remasters with unreleased music in the future.

Oh, and metalorange, The Truth has one or two 'cuss' words on it, too.

The price of the download is taking the piss - that much for a bunch of low quality wma files?

it sucks that you can't download the discs seperately.....therefore I'm not interested....

Sorry, yeah, I thought it was part of the 3 live tracks from Paisley Park in the Musicology store, but actually it isn't, they are Letitgo, Vicki Waiting and We March. 'Bumpsquad' was released as a download during the first year of the club at approximately the same time as those other 3 and I think it is from the same performance...
