Who all agrees that Evil White Male should find him someone NEW to be a fan of? He wastes his time watching every Prince show, performance, CD, etc... just to run it down. There are many times I think Prince should have handled a lot of things differently with his career, but if I hated him so much I wouldn't waste a second of my precious life visiting prince.org. Find you a new idol, EWM. You only do what you do for attention. It's rather pathetic. That's my 2 cents, spend it wisely.

At least what EWM types is real - not the bullshit that is spewed at NPGMC. U don't need 2 love everything Prince does 2 be fan. If EWM doesn't like what Prince has done 4 the past decade, then so be it. Why does it bother u so much??

btw, where's TheBlueAngel? He's another example of real posts - no corny, overly positive Prince can do no wrong junk. I do not like it either when Prince spotlights other people like on the recent NAACP performance.

yawn. not another - everyone who possibly thinks prince is good lately is automatically a sychophant "npgmc" member arguments

honestly!

alot of people think prince is great lately, me included, it doesn't mean they're all sychophants. alot of people also hate what he's done since 1988, but it doesn't deny them the right to come on this board and post their opinions.

that said, would i come on here most days and post everytime someone said something positive, just to post a negative, then say "hey its my opinion why not ignore me?"? no, i wouldn't bother, i'd do other things with my time. but again, it doesn't mean they can't or shouldn't.

i know that all sounds obvious to say but the way people post on this board it's like being in high school again.

you've also got to remember not everyone who hates on prince's recent stuff hates the same aspects. people on this thread are posting about how crap it is when he spotlights members, but other people who hate recent prince think the SOTT dvd is one of the best things he's ever done, and that's got a 'however many' piece band.

i'm not saying we should all "get along" but i think if we're going to argue about our opinions like this it shouldn't immediately degenerate into a "oh you're just a sychophantic prince whore" and "why do you come here if you hate him so much?" argument, it gets no-one anywhere surely?!

So you're saying that EWM should not be allowed to express his opinion ?

Can I suggest you'd find the NPGMC forums much more to your liking if you're so into censorship.

You are all correct. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion, and I, by all means, am not The One to get in the way of that. I suppose if I can tolerate the ridiculous threads about "What kind of underwear does P wear?" I can certainley tolerate a little hatin' from EWM.

I see you all spent my 2 cents very wisely.

I think somehow they believe that Prince actually reads through this forum and if they defend him, then someday he'll contact them and invite them out to his house for vegan pizza and a sit-in for a private recording session. Either that or they're related to the guy.

Or maybe they're just.....fams. And if that's the case, then they're just nuts for no good reason.

At least I mix things up by giving Prince credit for the things that I do like. But they never have a negative thing to say, ever.

I just thought the content was terrible. Sheila was the only one on that stage who was worth a damn, and her ass should have behind the drums with Prince playing his songs properly.

EWM, plz don't take this the wrong way, but ur kinda like Simon from American Idol. The dude is sooo right on with his opinions. Like u EWM. Sheila was the only thing on stage that got me going. I did dig the Latino vibe towards the end. I'm impressed that Prince likes that vibe. One more question EWM, would I be 2 foward in asking if u worshiped the devil? Thanx

nod You got that right Evil Baby b/c that drummer Prince had that night wasn't worth a shit. Her ass should have been behind the drum set definitely. That night was definitely one of the worst Prince performance that I have seen. To tell ya the truth, he should have did a proper reunion and brought back some of his original band members. Now, that would've been some shit worth watching.

We can only wish. Unfortunately Prince doesn't realize how cool that would be. Or who knows, maybe some of them don't want to play with HIM anymore.

Evil White Male, I have a friend from Chicago who is just like you when it comes to Prince, so, contrary to popular opinion, your postings ruffle my feathers not.I am curios, however, what would you like to see come out of Prince this next year. Honestly, believe it or not - I am truly interested.

I respect your opinion, forgive if it seemed I did not.

Peace.

I was actually mumbling this to myself when I watching the performance. Yes, since the beginning of last year until now, the NAACP award performance was his weakest. I only enjoyed the last song when he did his guitar solo, and of course Sheila...other than getting bored to death yet again by Morris and Jerome who can't seem to find another "Time" song in their catalog to perform other than "jungle love" and "the bird", this was not Prince's best.

I do find it interesting that people are still "defending" his performance like we as fans should have been satisfied by just seeing him up there performing...duh well of course we do, but we get disappointed when we know that he can do much much better.

Just because i'm a P fan doesn't mean that i'm gonna suck his butt hole....
I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

yeah it's gonna rain pigs cause i too agree with EWM a sure sign of the times (no pun intended) the performance was lacking something. he should have played Housequake all the way thru and the end was the best part. Prince please return to your reclusive form.

The performance was lacking.. a young prince and when we bitch about that it says more about our coping with age than prince. I surely have a little EWM in me ( in my case EBM LOL) but when i find myself being too critical i have to step back and say "wait, this guy is nearly 50 yrs. old!". What we got from tha nigga in his prime was more than some cats will produce in 3 careers so we should be happy that we are able to witness his golden years. My daughter is a big andre 3000 fan, she loves prince and thinks he's a cute lil old man. When i tried to explain the difference i told her baby...Prince had a 8 year span where he created a what the fuck? album every year, plus there were b sides and bootlegs that never saw the light of day, all while writing and playing everything". So in closing what we (me EWM all of you) want is unatainable for him but it's still ok to bitch about wanting it. Hell i'd love to see him with a stripped down band, in your faced profanity laced lyrics and killer guitar complete with splits and sliding across the floor. What we want every now and then is our youth.
