The only song I don't like on this album:
Dance On After this, it's going to be pretty hard to vote any song off. . .

Voting off Positivity??? Are you all recovering from head trauma?? That was one of the songs that made me fall in love with P! The bit towards the end ("In every man's life, there will be a hang-up.....", etc) was one of the moments that sticks in my mind where I just thought, "This sounds like nothing else around, but it's completely on its own trip, and yet somehow it's utterly engaging and is taking me with it!" Used to give me chills, the way it developed: "Love + honesty, peace + harmony..... HOLD ON 2 YOUR SOUL! WE GOT A LONG WAY TO GO!" It has a gospel intensity, with the vocals and the little squalls of guitar, etc. Both this one and Anna Stesia start off desolate and then go somewhere in the middle, before they climax in something intense at the end. There you go: spirituality and sexuality all rolled into one! The sacred and the profane in one swirling, abstract rush! What more do you want? When 2 R In Love? Pleeeeease! It's one of the most profound love songs ever performed! Who writes choruses like that? Layered, warm, fuzzy vocals, singing "Come bathe with me, let's drown each other in each other's emotions..."? And the instrumenation on the chorus - with someone else, it would sound mechanical, but here it totally works! And all the little, odd, descending, jazzy turns between the vocal lines? Where else do you hear that? I used to think I Wish U Heaven wasn't all that great, but now I see it as something simple and touching. I take it as being about the end of a relationship, and a kind of fond farewell. The melody is very pure, and I think the lyrics are honest - and, again, who else writes like this? Glam Slam and Dance On are perhaps marginally weaker than the rest, but even those are really engaging - the former's weird, kinda psychedelic lyrical flourishes, and Sheila's drumming on the latter, make them worthwhile. If something haaaad to go, then maybe..... But it really would be Sophie's Choice.....! Couldn't have said it better myself! I just can't do it, besides this album is REALLY intended to be one track...right???

I vote off track #1
There's two ways to look at this. It's either very hard or very easy. Anna Stesia should win because the other songs aren't even close so just pick the others at random. Then again the other songs are so comparable in terms of quality it's like deciding which child to leave behind... or something like that. Anyway, I'll get to it.... I vote off Eye No. Hey, I just noticed that would be track #1 if it were tracked. I'm good.... and quick too. [Edited 3/28/05 13:52pm]

Dance on. It never sticks to my head and just goes by. I like songs that make me feel something other than "ho-hum, what song is next?"
