How many times has Prince toured? Sorry if it's been asked before or a definite answer can't be provided but I've always wanted to know. | |

This is not a definitive answer. However, since 1980 not 2 years have passed without Prince being on some kind of tour. "New Power slide...." |

This is pretty much how it went(more or less)
opening act for Rick James 1980 Dirty Mind tour 1980,81 Controversy tour 1981,82 Triple Threat tour(with Vanity 6 and the Time)1982,83 Purple Rain tour 1984,85(with Sheila E as the opening act) Parade(also known as the Hit and Run tour) 1986 Sign O the Times tour 1987(opening act Madhouse) Lovesexy tour(Europe and US) 1988 Lovesexy tour(Japan) 1989 "Nude" tour(Eupope and Japan) 1990 Diamonds and Pearls tour (Europe,Australlia,Japan)1992 Act 1(US tour) 1993 Act 2(Europe) 1993 1994 featured several dates at mostly smaller venues The Gold Expirience tour (Europe)1995 The Gold Expirience tour (Japan)1996 Love4OneAnother tour 1997 Jam of the Year tour 1997,98 New Power Soul tour 1998(European tour with Larry Graham and Chaka Khan) ??? tour 1999 Hit and Run tour 2001,2002 One Night Alone tour 2002(US,Europe,Japan) Musicology tour 2004 | |

-Don't forget the 2003 World Tour (Hong Kong, Australia, Hawaii) -There was no official tour in 1999, but there were a few one off concerts in Las Vegas, Europe and some Paisley Park parties -The Gold tour was offically titled THE ULTIMATE LIVE EXPERIENCE TOUR -Hit n Run tour was 2000/01 (not 2001/02) -2005 ????? ! u didnt mention the greatest hits retirement tour,which is the tour i saw him on for the first time on october 25th 2003..
this was a few months b4 musicology (and he made no mention of it there either ) just that he was finally retiring his old hits to make way for new ones .. after that show ,sumwhere id heard he just vowed never to play his wb stuff anymore that obviously was untrue,,, but ye,did u miss hearing about that tour ??
