Most of my issues with Tony is that Prince has him doing interludes in the middle of songs that absolutely did not require a rap section in it. Also, the lyrics are just way too silly. But, given that--if He had started a career on his own, outside of Prince's career, I have no doubt that he would have at least been nominated for grammy. You're joking... Tell me, you're joking ??? i think so too. tupac aint got nuthin on my man tony!!!

I think Tony was great. You can't compare him to 50 cent or The Game because that was a different era. Now go back to '91 and think about the rappers out there. Tony M. was just as good and he fit well with the D & P era. I think it added somethink funky to the album and it added somethink new to Prince's sound. I can't believe it's been 14 years already but regardless the album will always be in my top 3 Prince albums. (We all have our own opinions!) Prime aka The Kid

Either you hate him or love him, he got to live out his dreams and as bad of a rapper as I am if P wanted me to rap and everyone at the org would dog me later.....I would have record (D&P,symbol and Gold N.) three albums, shoot videos and tour with Prince. Don't forget the money and the girls!!!!! You all could talk about me like a dog but I would do it! I know you would have too! So it's on P not Tony. Just my opinion. Prime aka The Kid

They both have been in movies that helped destroy their professional careers. would you say prince fell into that band of thought AB777? like your irony, lollyOp... Personally though I agree with the remark about t not having right material. And anyways, it's P who did the production right? Though he is 4 sure a very mediocre rapper, his work on "Hoop dreams" is not ok. (Though in the shadow of DU !)

I don't care if he's a bad rapper or a good rapper. The fact that he is a rapper, means Prince had lost his damn mind when he put him in the band. Andy is a four letter word.

Bwuhahahahahahahahahahahahaha! Funniest thing I've read in ages! To even call Tony M a decent rapper is laughable. To call him "one of the best" of the 90s is completely ridiculous!
