Yup - its Warner Brothers alright!
The album's general theme is broadly against the music industry at large - the Exodus being Prince's wish that most artists would perform a mass exodus from their respective record labels and be free. This tune in particular, The Good Life and Exodus take very particular swipes. (uh, and just remembering how great a tune is Return of the Bump Squad - might have to play that right now) 
Great song and his UK tv performance of it on some Jools Holland programme was stunning. In fact, I love the album in its entirety. [Edited 3/22/05 14:37pm] ...we have only scratched the surface of what the mind can do...
