Well, first of all, How does Prince know it's better with a man? Does an 18/19 year old actually know what a woman likes to that extent? Or is he implying that he personally knows what it's like to be with a man, and he wants to share this with her. Prince is deliberately being playful here.

It's only a playful song from a not-yet-mature young man. I don't think the song is being deliberately hurtful to lesbians or to women in general. You have to dig up songs like "work that Fat" and "1+1+1=3" for his endorsement of some type of patriarchal pecking order.

I'm not a lesbian and I don't easily offend, but it was VERY hard not to be offended by this song. I tried not to take it seriously, but it was very hard not to do. Til this day, Head and Bambi, although rocking/funky tunes, are played very little by me. The lyrics are kind of offensive..
