Yea, I'm sitting here, once again, listening to Prince songs I haven't heard in awhile. So, I pop in "The Truth" CD.....and get to "Don't Play Me".

"I'm over 30.....and I don't smoke weed."


I wonder if this is my fault. Anybody remember WAAAY back there was a thread on the PPML I started about Prince smokin weed? Hmmmm.....kinda makes ya wonder, cuz I mean this came out soon after that....kinda like when we were all babblin' about Skip's cannibas use....maybe he was like "Ok, let me give an answer".

I guess we'll never know until somebody hits him up at a show and asks him.

Yo bro...If someone had the nerve 2 ask him at a show or more like at a soundcheck...I'm sure he wouldn't take kindly 2 such a question. At this point 4 anyone 2 ask such a question when he's tryin 2 open his world more then ever would B pretty rude and out of line~ I could care less if Prince ever did or not....bottom line he's not going 2 throw himself away like Hendrix & Elvis etc....Remember 4 every artist that use's some form of drug I think there are many who keep it clean with no struggles~

'Don't Play Me' was a response to a lot of criticism that Prince was facing at the time. Most of the song still applies to those that have a problem with Prince even today. I love the song, he's basically telling all the 'haterz' to "Kiss his Ass"
