GOODBYE...WONDERFUL Guys..theres this song which is worth the mention on crystal ball..the song called goodbye...terrific song..very sad lyrics..and a prince did it really well..definitley one of my favs in that album alongside "crucial"...no ones talked about this song before..am i the only one here who likes "goodbye"?..

It's pretty schmaltzy, but Prince can knock out these ballads in his sleep, and they always sound OK. Don't worry, I can't get pregnant - my ovaries are diseased...... | |

Yeah, a friend of mine felt that it was just another syrupy ballad.
I do agree that songs like this appear to come easy to Prince, but that does not mean they are not beautiful! After all, I don't see just anybody writing songs as nice as this. I loved "Goodbye" the moment I first heard it. | |

Goodbye is a great song. I wish it had been on Emancipation. It's also one of the few songs that have made me emotional. It's simply a beautiful song. In fact, a friend of mine who doesn't care much for Prince really likes this song. [Edited 3/9/05 18:04pm] I'm not a fan of "old Prince". I'm not a fan of "new Prince". I'm just a fan of Prince.
