Does anyone know what effect he uses durin the bass solo on Crystal Ball? Sounds interesting but I have no idea what it is.

isn't it some strange variation of flanged delay? I'll have to listen to it, but I remember it does have the coolest effect.

Sounds like a mix of several effects.. I hear an octave pedal to get that double lead feel almost as if a synth or moog is playing the line too. Kind of like on most P-funk songs ex. flashlight . Maybe some chorus and a little flange with delay.
