I need help putting 2gether a 3rd album of NPGMC songs

snowflake

I'm putting together a 3rd album of NPGMC songs that Prince
hasn't yet bundled as an album like The Chocolate Invasion,
and Slaughterhouse.

This is what I've got so far, can anyone help me out here if
I'm missing tracks?

01. Jukebox With a Heartbeat
02. Cybersingle
03. When Will We B Paid?
04. Breathe
05. Madrid 2 Chicago
06. Purple House
07. van Gogh
08. Emanstrumental
09. One Song
10. My Medallion
11. Habibi
12. The War

I know that "Purple House" was on the Hendrix tribute album
and not an NPGMC download. But it's from the 1998-2000 era,
and it fits well with some of these track so I included it.

One Song is the edited version, without the speech. And the
"Emanstrumental" is the Emancipation type instrumental that
was part of the monthly downloads.

The War, once again is not an npgmc track as such but it is
another one of those 1998-2000 tracks that fit well with
"When Will We B Paid?", "Habibi" and "Purple House".

I'm missing about 90% of the ahdio shows so perhaps there
are some songs or instrumentals in those that I'm missing?

thanx.

I can only come up with the short version The Work pt 1, with the different guitar solo...

Oh yeah, and what about the version of Beautiful Strange w/o the electric guitar?...

cool

Hmm, I'm not sure. The Work pt I def not since it's so clearly a part
of The Rainbow Childern.

Same goes for "The Undertaker" and "Poor Goo" since they were both a
part of the "undertaker" project/album/video or whatever lol.

But I can see the original "beautiful strange" w/o the guitar madness
on that album, yes.

Good idea.

I always forget "Paid" and "Medallion" didn't end up on either of those releases. 2 of my favorites from that period.

It's funny you brought this up, because for some reason [and I don't know exactly why], a couple of days ago, I created a two disc set of NPGMC songs from 2000. . .here's the tracklisting [I even added some segues from the ahdio shows].

Disc 1:
1. Intro [Prince introducing the NPGMC plus Jacob Armen's drum fever piece on first ahdio show]
2. Props & Pounds [Kurt Loder version]
3. 2045: Radical Man
4. Super Cute
5. Underneath the Cream
6. When I Lay My Hands On U
7. Mad
8. Sex Me? Sex Me Not
9. NPG Ahdio Segue
10. Y Should I Do That, When I Can Do This?
11. Van Gough
12. Question [2nd ahdio show monologue about music becoming property]
13. Golden Parachute
14. Judas Smile
15. Vavoom
16. High

Disc 2.
1. Cybersingle
2. NPG Ahdio Segue
3. Jukebox With A Heartbeat
4. Silicon
5. Gamillah
6. Kamasutra Overture [on ahdio show #1]
7. My Medallion
8. The Daisy Chain
9. Props & Pounds [version w/ Prince-sung verses]
10. Hypnoparadise
11. "Oh my goodness, all of u must come 2 Paisley Park and play with us"
12. Northside
13. When Will We B Paid?
14. Purple House
15. NPG Ahdio Segue
16. SM Groove
17. The Dance
18. Peace
19. U Make My Sun Shine

Here's one I did a while back:

Cybersingle
Funky Design
Mad
Van Gough
Splash
My Medallion
Instrumental
When Will We B Paid?
Habbibi (Machine Gunn)
Breathe
Madrid 2 Chicago

Bonus track: Rebirth Of The Flesh rehearsal version.

Unfortunately, I don't have the software to edit "Jukebox With A Heartbeat" out of the Ahdio show, otherwise it would follow "My Medallion" on my set.

I'm currently working on an EP of the more recent tracks:

Magnificent
United States Of Division
Silver Tongue
Purple House
Hymn (not sure of the actual track title. This is the instrumental P donated to the JWs)

And here's my live EP:

Musicology (Muchmusic performance)
Kiss (Muchmusic performance)
DMSR (Muchmusic performance)
The ? Of U/Fallin'/The One
Controversy (live from Hawaii)
Bataclan: NPG In This Funky House/All The Critics Love U In Paris

Scary! That's almost exactly the sequence I did.

Here's my silly versions:

"The Funky Design"

Cybersingle
Funky Design
Mad
Get Wild (miami mix)
Hit U In the Socket
Van Gogh
Magnificent
Madrid 2 Chicago
Breathe
Holy River (Instrumental)

"Dance On The Funk"

Splash
Silicon (first version)
S&M Groove (first version)
My Medalion
Habibi
We March (live 1995)
Vicki Waiting (live 1995)
Letitgo (live 1995)
The Return of the Bump Squad (live 1995)
Contest Song

I felt everything else had been released in some form. The "Rebirth.." rehearsal is available in better quality on a Lovesexy era bootleg.

Great minds think alike!! thumbs up!

I wasn't aware of the better version of ROTF. I omitted the live Exodus/Gold era songs for the same reason. A friend of mine has a boot with all those tracks on it, and then some (still need to get a copy from him though)!

a song that I think should be on such a compilation cd is Paradigm, by George Clinton and Prince. Electric funk, suits perfectly with the other npgmc downloads, althought it of course wasn't part of the npgmc

That IS a good idea. I have a crappy copy of it though. Has it been officially released yet?

it was officially released on a cd single by George Clinton
and sold at one of his tours.

I don't know if it ended up on one of his album though
