Revisiting the old stuff

So I'm a luck guy, for Christmas I received a nice Pro-ject turntable from my girlfriend. Now I've always been a fan of good HI-FI and remember with fondness the days of watching my records go round on my parents record player.

So during the past few months I have been collecting vinyl from shops and ebay and have found renewed interest in Prince's back catalogue. Normally I wouldn't bother to listen to LoveSexy, 1999 etc on CD since they didn't sound great, a bit cold and dare I say a bit harsh when compared to more recent recordings (I guess there is a techincal explanation regarding the mastering process...) However upon 'spinning' them on my new record player: WOW I have picked up instruments and notes that I have never heard before on my much more expensive CD player, the bass notes of LoveSexy are amazing and I can't stop playing it now....until I listened again to 'Lady Cab Driver' - that is one amazing funky song (IMHO) and the whole album is on repeat - I can see that CD player gathering some serious dust.

So if you have lost a bit of interest in Prince - desperate for some new 'jelly for your bread' then get those old records out and enjoy

Does anyone know if anyother versions of Lady Cab Driver exist?
