New drummer Cora...

Someone posted here about Prince's new drummer and gave her name...Cora.

So this orger was very well informed. I cannot retrieve his/her post anymore. Was he/she giving more info ? Can't remember ?!

I have no idea but the only thing I know is that the orger who gave the info about Cora knew what she/he was talking about.

We normally have around here only fake tracks list and rumors so i would love to get more info from this orger ! hehe

1 petite indication peut-être!!(a little info
maybe)

from Joe Kelley

But I know about the drummer Cora mentioned in this report. She is a Los Angeles drummer who has recorded with Foley. We will play some of his collaborations with her on the Foley concert interview/concert on the MPLS Special this month

Yep I just read that too ! I'm confused since the NPGMC official reports say that Prince has a new line up.

Prince's world is always...BLUR.

Apparently not. His so called new band would be a band of new proteges apparently. A band that would open his future concerts. Nothing exciting really.

I can add this from PP9 2day!

The rumor part was everyone jumping 2 conclusions that Blackwell had been replaced. When in fact no statement 2 that effect had ever been made.

Cora C Coleman:

"Cora C. Coleman is a young and fiercely talented drummer who recently graduated from Howard University. She had been studying with the legendary jazz drummer and singer, Grady Tate. She recently won a national competition as the best unsigned drummer in the country (that is until she later signed with JazzBridge Music). I can't say enough about Cora on this page."

from ,,, http://www.jazzbridge.com/Page.html

She plays on Tom Schuman's 'Schuman Nature'

"You know him from Spyro Gyra, where he has mastered the keyboards for nearly 30 years. But long before Spyro Gyra, Tom was raised and schooled in the original jazz traditions: Oscar Peterson, McCoy Tyner, Ahmad Jamal, John Coltrane, Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Sarah Vaughn, Thelonius Monk and more. Come take a journey in jazz, pure and natural with SCHUMAN NATURE.

"SCHUMAN NATURE features award-winning Drummer, Cora C. Coleman, and Bassist Extraordinaires, Dwayne Dolphin and Ameen Saleem. Tom Schuman is a talented composer, as can be seen from his contributions to Spyro Gyra for nearly 30 years and his previous solo releases, Extremities and Into Your Heart. He continues his trend with SCHUMAN NATURE offering four new original compositions that more than hold their own next to standard favorites: Neferiti, Waltz for Debby, Search for Peace, Moon Germs, and Ruby, My Dear."

Apparently winner of the best drummer in the country award in the Guitar Center National Drum off competition, according to amazon.com.
