What's the deal with the two versions of Rave?
I know one had 14 & one had 18 cuts but which should I get?
If you wanna get higher, ya gotta get DEEP!

Well "rave un2 the joy fantastic" was released in most Record store, Untill sumthing happened not sure what :S but i think it wasn't allowed 2 enter the main charts :S or sumthing like that.

and then PRINCE released "rave in2 the joy fantastic" on his website for download online (i think) which had remixes of most or all songs from "rave un2 the joy fantastic", i heard it pretty much sucks, but then most ppl on this site hate "rave un2 the joy fantastic".

Sorry dont no much!

Rave Un2 is the released album.

Rave In2 is the "remix" album. (A few remixes, a couple of extendeds, and Wind Road & Strange But True replaced with Beautiful Strange).

Most people say they prefer In2, but personally I don't care for either lol

Get both if you want all the albums, get Rave Un2 for Strange But True (one of the better tracks IMO) - or Rave Un2 for Beautiful Strange (which a lot of people love, I don't care for again).
Don't worry, I can't get pregnant - my ovaries are diseased......

Rave In2 The Joy Fantastic was never released as download. I was sent out to every NPG music club member as a gift after the release of Rave un2 (quite a long time after actually). It features remixes and extended versions of songs from Rave un2, and also a proper CD booklet unlike the cardboard insert that came with Rave Un2.
Rave Un2 the joy fantastic was released as a normal CD in stores, but Rave In2 was part of the "exclusive" deal you got being a member of the NPGMC.

In my personal opinion, Rave In2 the Joy fantastic (the 2nd version) is better, i like the remix's and extended versions better. But you really should get both just for the sake of it i guess.

As described here, after the release to stores through Arista of "Rave Un2...", "Rave In2..." was first made available as a gift to NPGMC members.

It was subsequently also made available exclusively through NPGMC to members but for purchase on the NPGMC site.
