Has Prince ever talked about SHE'S ALWAYS IN MY HAIR? Has Prince ever discussed the track SHE'S ALWAYS IN MY HAIR? I have been looking for any comments about it. It was supposedly written about Jill Jones, but he obviously really liked the song because it has popped up occasionally on tour in the 90s.
Anyone know of any comments by the man himself? Personally, I think it is one of his best B-sides ever. Back in 1986, when previewing the new tour, Prince said something like "She's Always In My Hair, that's a bad song. We'll have to play that some time.". Personally, I think he had so many other songs lived up for the Parade tour as well as recording new tracks that there just wasn't enough time for the band to learn it. After that, I think he didn't feel that it would fit on the SOTT,Lovesexy,Nude or Diamonds and Pearls tours. Finally in 1993, I think he felt it was time.I'm glad because it's a great song. | |
