Exercise music

Does anyone jog or exercise to Prince music? If so which songs really pump you up. I have a mix of a lot of snippets Prince hits and just toward the end of the mix (about 18 minutes long) when I felt I couldn't take another step, Take me with you came on and I started jogging like I had just started!

Any other pump you up songs that helps you exercise?

I get tired just thinking about excercise. Great, now I need a nap.

Anxiety

i have three default music mixes that i use at the gym - one is all prince music, one is all bowie music, and one is all sonic youth music. otherwise, i rotate stuff that i get bored with quickly. sometimes if i've just bought a new album, i'll listen to it at the gym cuz i can pay better attention to it...that doesn't always work out perfectly, but it's usually a good way to break in new music.

I run on my treadmill to Prince. Nothing keeps me going like P. By the way "The Beautiful Ones" is exactly 7 miles per hour wink

I exercise to a house music that I taped off of Chicago radio back in the 80s. As far as Prince music goes, the Space remix cd is ok.

When I exercise, or clean the house I put the Hits/B-sides in on shuffle. It works fairly well for me. But if I am cleaning or biking and I would Die 4 U comes on I just start dancing, well come to think of it I do the same thing to: ICNTTPOYM, Delirious and I Wanna Be Your Lover
I'm gonna count every second, every minute, each and every hour of every day, 'till you come on back, come on back........

I love listening to Prince while working out. Especially now that I have my
make shift MP3 player biggrin

THere are some great upbeat songs on The Gold Experience, 1999, and prince

but each album (maybe other than NEWS) has some perfect tracks
for gaining extra energy wink
If you will, so will I

Please tell me someone has a pic of Oprah working out to Emancipation, that shit was hilarious. She had an emancipation t-shirt on, and emancipation hat, and was trying to sing along to the song when it was obvious she had barely heard it and really didnt like it... LMAO

Oh dear. This reminds me of my dance teacher who still makes us exercise to "1999". But I would say that I exercise mostly to "New Power Soul", "Computer Blue", "Automatic", "Arrogance", "DMSR", and "Gett Off". Also is it just me or does the beat from "Dirty Mind" remind any of you all of the music in those 70's/80's exercise tapes?

Emancipation for on the Treadmill

For cleaning the kitchen benches, windows, and mirrors in the house the 12" of America is perfect, stick to the beat and you get a real workout!
In the distance a light shines and I know it is mine. Someday I will touch it because it calls me. It says cross the line, cross the line. I know everything is not always what it seems, so I pinch myself daily just in case it's a dream
