After my resurgence of my love for Prince.:symbol:..it is hard to recall ...but here it goes....
R&B mostly in my 20's: EW&F, Kool & the Gang, Brothers Johnson, Gap Band, Emotions (the Old English re-cord, you know what I am talking about), the other girl groups, Ohio Players, Marvin Gaye (OMG!!), MJ (though my crush was on Jermaine), Prince, Najee (loved him), Rick James, Teena Marie, Culture Club 30's or so (sad decade for me) (all over the place) Lost Boyz, Bone, 2Pac, George Michael (later), Mint Condition (they were the bomb!), Jodeci, Whitney, J Jackson....you get it 40's Prince, Norah Jones, 2Pac (keeps coming back), Shania Twain, Dixie Chicks, Jill Jones, Macy Gray, India Arie...I'm starting to dig Mario...!, Always, the old school...JBrown, SWonder, ABaker I know it is all over the place and some of these folks ...well they may not have been,...well, more than performers but I am one that when I hear and it moves me.... Memories....like the corners of my mind...misty water color memories...man, I have to get my wreckas, 8 tracks, and cassettes outa storage!

Before I was 12? Hmm... my brother's music I guess: Def Leppard, Van Halen, Motley Crue, Foreigner, Boston, etc.
Billy Squier's Don't Say No was probably my favorite album of my brother's, and I must admit I did own Thriller and thought that was cool (I even did the moonwalk like Corey Feldman ), but after I got 1999 into my ears, I totally forgot about that MJ guy. Tho, before Prince, I was mostly influenced by the music my mother played: Ray Charles (her favorite), Buddy Holly, Fats Dominoe, Elvis Presley, Sam Cooke, Charlie Pride, The Platters, Janis Joplin, and a bunch of other stuff.

...STEVIE WONDER.
I had all his albums (and they are more than 30), knew all his lines,... ...then discovered Prince. I still listen to SW, but it´s not like the good old days. I think at this time somebody should have took the place of Prince, but I see nobody yet...
