"Lovesexy" one of the "12 CDs You've Gotta Get" according to Fred Armisen In this week's Entertainment Weekly, Fred Armisen gives his list of 12 essential CDs. We all know Fred is a fan (he is the comedian that does the Prince Show on SNL these days) from way back. He proves that by mentioning names in the Prince Show skits that only real fans would recognize.
Well, number 3 on his list is "Lovesexy". Fred writes: "It was difficult for me to pick a favorite Prince album since they're all amazing. But "Lovesexy" looked up at me and said, 'Psst. Fred. Pick me." | |

It's nice to read some famous person appreciates Prince in general and Lovesexy in particular.
But what is this fascination with every Prince name dropping by another 'star' the .Org gets overexcited. Is it really important to you whether someone else likes Prince and his music? Just curious, because I personally don't give a damn whether others - famou sor not - like the music I like to hear... |

Roverlo, I think it's natural and OK to be amused/interested when someone with a little notoriety/celebrity talks about who/what they enjoy, when it matches our interests. Does it validate our taste? No. Does it rise to the level of obsession? Nah. I just thinks its a natural response to notice that. The internet (and fan sites like this one) make it easy to share that with others, no?
I am not sure it rises even to the comment that I "give a damn". Its just a nice bit of trivia. Wouldn't you agree? | |
