In the concert where James Brown invited Michael Jakcson to the stage to "do something", Jackson improvises a cool little song and dance, then Jackson whispers in Brown's ear to invite Prince up the stage to do something. Prince does his part by even coming up to the stage, but i always felt embarrassed and sorry for him for the fact that he WAS upstaged by Jackson. That has to be my greatest WTF Prince moment, he didn't sing or dance, he didn't really do anything exciting, which was dissapointing because it was the ONLY chance ever of a Jackson/Prince showdown. Top marks for Jackson though for inviting a little friendly competition. Phew, i feel better for finally speaking up.

The general opinion seems to be that Prince made a fool of himself, but I really don't agree either! His performance was indeed very strange, but then on the other hand, who do we remember - him or Michael? 
Also, I think it was very smart of Prince to play the guitar, even if it was just a few licks. That's something he (and everybody else) knew that Michael couldn't do... | |

Don't get me wrong, I love Prince truly, madly, deeply ...

Yeah it was embarassing on P's part, sorry to say. The guitar playing was cool, the scream and the microphone stand bit was lame.... But seening them perform one after another, one can contrast them both as performers and musicians and see that they are 2 totally different birds, which is strange since they're always being compared. | |

i personally liked it. The mic stand thing was cool {anytime prince does a mic stand trick is fine with me,, thats why im a fan anyways,lol}
at the time i jus thought that what he usually did- he was just that wierd.... i didn't think it was an "off" night for him-wtvr the circumstances. | |
