I was just checking out a performance of "Prettyman" from 1999. Dang he was having fun with that. I was wondering why I was so into. The reason is that he's f***in' smiling throughout the whole thing. Not just grinning or batting those eyes or flirting, but just out and out smiling.

Have you all noticed how rare it is and how exciting it is when he does flash one?

It's kind of like the Julia Roberts thing. When you watch the person you're waiting for it, and when the smile happens you go, "whew."

I want to see more of those pearly's. I can't keep watching that damn vid clip over and over again (more than I already have).

Is there any one performance you can think of where he is all smiles?

the times i saw him on the musicology tour, he seemed pretty chipper and smiled quite a bit - but yeah, i know what you mean. he's got a really infectious smile. you know he smiles because he's genuinely happy, and not just to be all fake and showbizzy. cuz lord knows the man can put on a sour face at the drop of a pin.

He almost seems embarassed to smile. It kind of reminds me of Freddy Mercury from Queen. They both seem to be very shy and self concious in interviews.

I loved his smiles when at the Musicology Tour he would sit on the stool for the acoustic set. When he talked about the songs, and then played them, he smiled at the audience reception of his one and every choice of songs. He seemed proud and humbled at the same time.

beautiful smile he has, beautiful! and he has been smiling up a storm this past ear! he smiled enough 4 everyone! I think that now he hasn't got anything to woryy about he's becoming more open and friendly and smilicious! I enjoy to see him smile, it's like an agel in the heavens come down to earth and inside his body, making this beautiful glow to him. And his smile is quite contagious! I can't help but smile when he smile, it's an instinct we all have when he smiles, rather a refex, when he smiles we automatically smile! that's the way it always has been and always will be!

and i agree with everyone else too...whenever i see him on tv i always watch for him 2 smile...he has such an amazing smile - that smile can solve many problems lol

Great smile but WHAT was he thinking when he put on that bathing suit? My husband said "give him a break it was like 1991!" Sorry, that ain't no excuse for that wardrobe selection!

I bet one reason he doesn't smile is that he's got really big teeth and he probably got teased about it when he was younger. That and all the comments about him being small.

I was teased about my feet when I was little and I still have an issue with wearing sandals and stuff.

Just a thought.

his smile is really infectious. we love it so much because we only see it once in a while, so that saying,"abscence makes the heart grow fonder" is true. in a way he never really used to smile, but now he does. he has the best smile i've ever seen

i remember at the musicology tour in toronto, he just finished "call my name" i believe, and he was holdong a note and trying to look badass.


but the crowd was going so crazy, and wild for so long, he just let out this huge smile of" im back, baby. and they love me more than ever!" he tried to fight it but when it shone through, whew.

what a striking man. great smile.
