I'd like to see Prince on Tavis Smiley again!

We sure did learn a lot from the last time he was there. And hopefully, if he does make another appearance, he can surprise us with....

Yes, that would be cool.

I think last time on Tavis it was the best interview he's ever given. He came across as a very well educated, intelligent and generally approachable person (no Tora Tora shite, no preaching, no smart ass comments, no "I'm gonna intimidate you" attitude etc, as we all know he can be like that sometimes!). In every other interview last year he basically just repeated what he said on Tavis. Also, the performance with Wendy was just beautiful wasn't it?!

BTW, SammiJ, I think you can still download the performance from NPGMC for $7.99

Yeah, that was a pretty good interview. Prince seemed at ease, not as guarded as he usually is. Tavis is a good interviewer, too. I've always like dhim. (Was pissed when they removed him from BET.)

Well, there's a reason for all that. Prince has great respect for Tavis (all of which is due, of course). He has nearly none for most of the other people who make their living in mass media and would want to interview him.

I just watched the show, and read the transcript at the same time. I think it was a great interview. He did not expound on his spiritual walk or his political views, but nevertheless he was informative.

I didn't find the intervew to be scripted at all. Tavis seem to ask non-conventional questions, and it helped that he's a fan. He even stumped Prince and Prince responded something like "kind of a deep question..."
